Driving to St. Moritz offers stunning views, whether you're coming from Zurich via the A3/A13 or from Milan via the SS36 and Bernina Pass.
Note: Cars are not allowed in the SunIce Festival area.
By Train
Traveling by train is scenic and easy.
- From Zurich: Change in Chur. ~3 hrs.
- From Basel/Geneva: Change in Zurich and Chur. ~4–6 hrs.
- From Milan: Change in Tirano, then take the panoramic Bernina Express. ~4–5 hrs.

Daytrip Shuttle (Zürich ↔ St. Moritz)
Fast, direct, and stress-free: Take our official daytrip bus shuttle from Zurich to St. Moritz and back.
- Departure: 10:30 AM from Zurich Bus Station (next to HB)
- Arrival: St. Moritz Schulhausplatz around 1:30–2:00 PM
- Return: 2:30 AM from Schulhausplatz (don’t be late!)

Tickets & Entry
The festival takes place from 17 to 19 September 2026, from Thursday to Saturday night.
Doors are currently planned to open at 16:30 on Thursday and around 13:00 on Friday and Saturday. Music ends at 00:00, with the area closing around 00:30. Final opening times may still change.

You must be 18 or older to attend. A valid official ID is required for entry and will be checked. No exceptions.
You can enter with your ticket in your mobile wallet, as a PDF on your phone, or as a printout. Please make sure the QR code is clearly visible.

Tickets are non-refundable. You can give your ticket to someone else, as tickets are not personalized, or resell it through a trusted resale platform such as TicketSwap.
No, ticket upgrades are not possible. If you want a VIP ticket, you need to buy the correct ticket type separately, depending on availability.
If a ticket category is sold out, we cannot guarantee that more tickets will be released. Please check the official ticket shop regularly or use trusted resale platforms such as TicketSwap.
Festival tickets are not included with lounges or sunbeds. Each guest needs a valid ticket for the selected day. Please check the product description and/or the confirmation email to see if a specific ticket category (e.g., VIP) is required. No refunds will be issued for tickets that were not purchased or were purchased incorrectly.
Travel, Parking & Shuttles
You can reach the festival by train to Locarno and continue by local bus, taxi or the SunIce Festival Shuttle. For regular public transport connections, please check the SBB App for the best route and schedules. Closest bus stop to the festival area: Ascona, Via Pancaldi Mola
The SunIce Night Shuttle is a separate long-distance shuttle from Ascona to Zurich after the festival. The shuttle departs directly in front of the festival area and allows you to travel back to Zurich the same night. You can book it via the ticket page: https://www.sunicefestival.ch/summer/tickets
No, the SunIce night shuttle is a separate long-distance shuttle from Ascona to Zurich. It is not the same as the SunIce Festival Shuttle (local shuttle) running in Ascona and Locarno.
Please be at the pickup point by 00:15. Departure is at 00:30 sharp and the shuttle will not wait for late guests. No refunds for missing the shuttle.
No, parking directly at the festival site is not allowed and may result in towing or fines. Access to the area will be regulated. Please use the SunIce Festival Shuttle or park at the official parking areas nearby.
Yes, nearby parking options will be available. Details about parking tickets and access will be shared closer to the event on the website, in the app and on social media.
VIP, Lounges & Experiences
A VIP ticket includes access to the VIP areas, VIP Bar behind Mainstage, Sunset Stage VIP Area, fast lane access and VIP toilets. VIP benefits are subject to change and availability.
VIP areas have limited capacity for safety reasons, so access may be temporarily paused when an area is full. Please wait nearby, try another VIP area if available, and follow security instructions at all times.
A lounge booking includes a private table area for your group, bottle service and drink credit for your table. Small snacks are provided, but lounges do not include full meals.
No, lounges are limited to the number of people included in the booking. Extra guests may not be allowed into the lounge area.
Yes, afterparties are planned, including one at Delta Lounge Club directly next to the festival village and one at Seventy7 Club nearby. A separate ticket is required, door sales may be limited, and more details will be shared closer to the event on the website and social media.
On Site & Safety
The SunIce Festival Shuttle is a free local shuttle service running between Locarno Train Station and the Festival Site and also between Aerodromo Parking, Village Ascona and the Festival Site.
Shuttles operate during festival opening hours (exact times will be communicated closer to the festival) and run approximately every 15 minutes or once full.

The Info Point is usually located in the central village area, while First Aid is usually near the exit. Exact locations will be shown on the village map and signposted on site.
Yes, lockers will be available, but limited. Booking details will be shared closer to the event in the FAQ section or in the mobile app.
Yes, the festival is cashless. Please pay by card or TWINT, as cash payments are not accepted.
There will be several food stands, including vegetarian options, burgers and more. Multiple bars will also be available, offering alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
Yes, lost & found is located at the Info Point during the festival. After the festival, you can usually contact info@sunicefestival.ch for lost items within about 5 days.
Wear comfortable festival clothes and shoes, but bring a light jacket or hoodie for the evening. In mid-September by the lake in Ascona, it can still be warm during the day but much cooler at night.

No, camping is not available. We recommend booking a hotel, apartment or other accommodation nearby.
Swimming is only allowed during daytime when lifeguards are present and the area is officially open for swimming. Swimming at night is strictly prohibited and may result in removal from the site or fines.
Rules, Support & Special Requests
No, the festival has a one-way system. Once you have scanned your ticket at the entrance, you will not be allowed to leave and re-enter the festival. Everything you need, including lockers, toilets and food, is inside the village.
Yes, the festival generally takes place rain or shine. In case of severe weather or safety concerns, the situation will be assessed on site and updates will be communicated through official channels.
Please only bring what you really need and keep bags as small as possible. Outside drinks, bottles, illegal substances, animals and dangerous items are not allowed; security may check bags at the entrance.
Small personal cameras are usually fine. Professional photo or video equipment requires prior approval.
Please go to First Aid, security or the Info Point immediately and do not stay alone. Our team will help you, bring you to a safe place and involve medical support if needed.
Yes, the main festival area is accessible for wheelchair users. Some areas may not be fully accessible, but the main village area is. If you depend on assistance, one accompanying person can join free of charge.
