By Car
Driving to St. Moritz offers stunning views, whether you're coming from Zurich via the A3/A13 or from Milan via the SS36 and Bernina Pass.
Note: Cars are not allowed in the SunIce Festival area.
By Train
Traveling by train is scenic and easy.
- From Zurich: Change in Chur. ~3 hrs.
- From Basel/Geneva: Change in Zurich and Chur. ~4–6 hrs.
- From Milan: Change in Tirano, then take the panoramic Bernina Express. ~4–5 hrs.
SunIce Rave Train
Arrive in party mode with the SunIce Rave Train—a special last-leg ride with music and vibes, available Thursday to Saturday in cooperation with RhB. Don’t miss it!
Daytrip Shuttle (Zürich ↔ St. Moritz)
Fast, direct, and stress-free: Take our official daytrip bus shuttle from Zurich to St. Moritz and back.
- Departure: 10:30 AM from Zurich Bus Station (next to HB)
- Arrival: St. Moritz Schulhausplatz around 1:30–2:00 PM
- Return: 2:30 AM from Schulhausplatz (don’t be late!)

Tickets
Yes! SunIce Festival partners exclusively with TicketSwap as our official reselling platform. This ensures that all resales are fair, secure, and capped at a safe price level — no scams, no overpricing. If you can no longer attend, you can easily resell your ticket via TicketSwap. Likewise, if tickets are sold out, TicketSwap is the only trusted marketplace to buy secondhand tickets.
A VIP Ticket grants you access to exclusive areas at the festival site, including a separate entry lane, private VIP toilets, VIP stage areas with access to the DJ booth, a VIP chillout area, and a VIP beach area with exclusive sunbeds (pre-booking possible via ticketing site).

Travel & Accomodation
There are numerous hotels, hostels, and camping options available in and around Ascona and Locarno. We recommend booking early as accommodations tend to fill up quickly, especially during the festival season.
Stay posted as we might get some favorable hotel deals for you.
By Car
Driving to Ascona is convenient and gives you maximum flexibility. Just keep in mind there may be traffic around the Gotthard Tunnel.

By Train
The nearest major train station is Locarno. From Locarno, you can easily reach Ascona by taking a local bus, taxi, or the SunIce Festival Shuttle service.
By Plane
If you need to take the plane, here are the closest Airports to Ascona.
- Lugano-Agno Airport (LUG): Approximately 50 minutes (43 km) by car.
- Milan-Malpensa Airport (MXP): Approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes (120 km) by car.
- Milan-Linate Airport (LIN): Approximately 2 hours (140 km) by car.
- Zurich Airport (ZRH): Approximately 3 hours (220 km) by car.
Festival Experience
Ensuring a safe and enjoyable festival experience for all attendees is our top priority. Here are some important safety and security measures and services available at the festival:
Ear Protection
To protect your hearing and ensure you can enjoy the music to the fullest, ear protection will be provided at the entrance and our infopoint. We strongly encourage all attendees to make use of this, especially those planning to be near the stages for extended periods.
Theft Prevention
Your security is paramount. We remind all festival-goers to be vigilant and keep a close eye on their belongings at all times. Thieves can operate in crowded places, so please take the necessary precautions to prevent any incidents.
Drugs / Alcohol
While we want you to have an unforgettable time, safety is paramount. Our policy on drugs and alcohol is strict; we operate a zero-tolerance policy on illegal substances. Moderation is key for alcohol consumption. If you or someone you know needs assistance, our security and medical teams are always on hand.
Sadly, our festival is not yet fully wheelchair accessible. In bad weather there are no solid pathways, and we don’t have a dedicated wheelchair platform. The lounge and VIP areas can only be accessed via stairs. There is, however, an accessible toilet on site, and you are of course very welcome to join us. Your companion will receive a free ticket.
